Q. How many treatments are required ?
Typically 2 treatment sessions are required and these are placed one or more weeks apart. Truly professional artistic implantation takes time and several steps to achieve the final results. Pigments are mixed to closely match the natural skin tone or hair color. Darker color can always be increased during subsequent visits. The creation of a natural hair pattern such as in the eyebrows requires the expertise of an experienced pigment specialist.

Procedure
Pre-Treatment : -
Do not apply make up.
Topical anesthetic cream is applied and lasts for 30-40 minutes.
The Treatment : -
Needles are disposed of after every treatment.
Pigment is implanted into the skin; there may be some slight discomfort.
Post-Treatment : -
Stay away from ultra-violet exposure, especially tanning booths, for at least 10 days. Alpha-hydroxy products and Retin-A must be kept away from treated areas.

As with tattoos, permanent makeup may have complications, such as allergies to the pigments, formation of scars, granulomas and keloids, skin cracking, peeling, blistering and local infection. The use of unsterilized tattooing instruments may infect the patient with serious diseases such as HIV and hepatitis. Removal problems may also ensue, due to patient dissatisfaction or regret, and they may be particularly difficult to remove in places such as eyelids and lips without leaving permanent sequelae.
