WORK EXPERIENCES
Internship (February 1998 to January 1999)
One year rotary internship in Community Medicine, Department of Medicine, Surgery, OBS & Gynaec, for three month each. During this tenure, my duties included clerking in new patients, doing routine ward work under the supervision of the SHO.
Post graduate trainee (M.S. General Surgery) (February 1999 to January 2002)
G.G. Hospital attached to Shri M.P. Shah Medical College, Jamnagar, Gujarat, is a 1200 bedded teaching hospital. During my tenure of Post Graduate trainee in the Dept. of General Surgery I was attached to a supervised clinical post. I was assigned to the routine and the emergency duties in various sub specialities department also included Colonoscopy unit, Endoscopy unit, and Laparoscopy unit.
I was required to do on call duty which involved management of emergency cases and was involved in their operative intervention management and subsequent post operative followups. I was also involved in examination, diagnosis, and management of routine and emergency general surgical cases. I worked under the supervision of consultants.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
- I was required to take undergraduate teaching for the third year and final year student leading upto final MBBS examination during my 3 year tenure as a post graduate trainee. I also took informal tutorials for the trainee nurses and paramedical staff.
ADMINISTRATION
- Being the teaching registrar I had to formulate the on-call rota of the SHO’s and the teaching schedule of the undergraduate students for 3 years during my post graduate training and during my senior residency period.
RESEARCH PROJECTS, PUBLICATIONS & MEMBERSHIP
- Awarded prestigious Membership from reputed National Academy of Medical
Sciences.

I have a thesis entitled “Chemical analysis of urinary stones” Under the guidance of Dr. S.H. Barameda M.S. Associate Prof. in surgery. This was accepted by the Saurashtra University Rajkot Gujarat, for my post Graduate degree in General Surgery.

Presented a CME on recent advances in radiology, in patient diagnosis of surgical illness.
